Many applications are designed to restore lost or deleted partitions and logical drives on both FATand NTFS file systems and IDE, ATA, SATA, and SCSI drives. You can use them to undelete both primary and extended partitions and create a raw disk image for future recovery issues. Active Partition Recovery supports large drives – even drives of over few terabytes.

In addition to partition recovery tools, they also often have a few built-in backup utilities that can help you in the future. For example, you can create a drive image for future restorations. With a drive image, you have an exact copy of the contents of the hard drive, logical drive, or partition. If your data is lost or destroyed, you can restore it from the drive image. This is especially useful if a file or partition becomes corrupt. Simply restore the drive image and get back up and running.

Partition Recovery Tools also allows you to back up the Master Boot Record, partition table, and boot sectors. If any of these areas are damaged or missing, use Active Partition Recovery and your backup to perform the repair and recovery.

While the Partition Recovery Tools let you recover your partitions using powerful technology, it doesn't take up a great deal of space on your hard drive.

Usually such Partition Recovery Tools come in all Windows versions. You can get a demo of such Partition Recovery Tool however many of its features are disabled. The commercial version is the better choice. You can buy a single license, multiple licenses, or an unlimited license depending on your needs.

If you've accidentally deleted a partition or are suffering with a lost or missing partition or logical drive, Partition Recovery Tools will help you recover your data. Recovering entire partitions requires a software program that is capable of the task. Many Active Partition Recovery Tools also have built-in utilities designed to help you avoid this same problem in the future.
